    Dr. John Wimbish

    Dr. Wimbish grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He is one of three children, and fortunate that his family resides within an hour of the metroplex. After graduation from Nolan high school , he made his wisest decision yet by going to Texas A &M University. Along with an appreciation for the traditions and spirit of this university, he graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Science and a minor in psychology.

    Because of his interest in science and passion for helping others, he continued his education at the University of Houston College of Optometry. It was there that he met his future and current wife, who practices optometry in Dallas. Together they have three wonderful children and reside in Allen. Dr. Wimbish feels fortunate to help others see the world they live in more clearly, while building friendships in this great community.

    Dr. Wimbish loves Aggie football and spends most of his time with family. He is also active in his church -Cottonwood Creek Baptist.He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association and was recognized as "Best Optometrist in Allen" within the Allen American - a distinction that came from the votes of the residents of Allen.

  • Dr. Jay Lollar

    Dr. Jay Lollar

    Dr. Jay Lollar is owner and co-founder of Allen Eye Associates. He grew up in the Oklahoma panhandle attending Turpin High School and then received his Bachelor of Sciences in Medical Biology at the Oklahoma Christian Universtiy in Edmond, Oklahoma.

    From there he moved on to the University of Houston College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. After that, he moved to Dallas for clinical rotations and decided to stay in the area. Dallas is also where he met his wife, Tara and the couple just enjoyed the birth of their first child, Jackson.

    Dr. Lollar is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, especially OU football and all the local pro teams and enjoying time with his family, friends, and his wife and new son. Dr. Lollar's clinical specialties include "hard to fit" contact lenses, LASIK co-management and general eye care for all ages. He strives to give each patient the option that best fits their needs and truly enjoys being a part of the Allen community.
